[Apps][Android] Super Applications Galore

Hello everyone! I’ve been gone because I’m a busy college student who should be studying for finals, but I have a special treat for you today. It’s our first ever Super Applications Galore! Today I will be talking about a bunch of apps that I have on my phone, and why I have them. I’ll be posting links to each app so that you can go and check them out if you’re interested. By the way, this will be an Android centered post because I don’t have an iPhone that I use regularly. However, I am trying to recruit someone to do an iOS version of this post, so hopefully things work out. So without further ado, let’s dive right into it.

[News] Nexus 7 + Jelly Bean Android 4.1

Hey guys, it’s been a while since our last post, and we missed this bit of info, but here I am to present this to those of you that missed it. Recently at Google I/O, Google and ASUS announced the Nexus 7 tablet which comes with the brand new Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. Unfortunately, we have not had the opportunity to go to Google I/O this year, and so this is by no means a first-hand review of the device and OS. Without further ado, the review.

[App] Instagram for Android is Out!

It’s finally here! Instagram is finally out for free on the Google Play Store for Android phones. This was one of the most anticipated apps for Android for quite awhile. I’ve only played with it for awhile, but they have a whole bunch of filters that you can use to edit your pictures with. The sharing on this seems very easy as well. Just snap a picture, edit it a bit, then upload it to either Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, or Tumblr. You can also browse the shots taken by other people via the app. I took some screenshots of the app, which you can see after the break.
